Wells Fargo Technology sets IT strategy; enhances the design, development, and operations of our systems; optimizes the Wells Fargo infrastructure footprint; provides information security; and enables continuous banking access through in-store, online, ATM, and other channels to Wells Fargo’s more than 70 million global customers.

Enterprise Database Management is the Center of Excellence for database management within Wells Fargo. This position provides mid-level capabilities relative to database administration for the company. The person filling this position must be able to:

  • Performance tune Release 12.2.x eBusiness Suite databases.

  • Patch and Clone R12.2 eBusiness Suite environments.

  • Develop operational policies, procedures, controls and standards for the eBusiness Suite databases and Applications.

  • Develop, implement and maintain automation efficiencies using scripting languages (PERL, KornShell) in a UNIX environment.

  • Develop and maintain implementation guides and maintenance processes and documentation.

  • Database software certifications, roadmap planning and maintenance management.

  • Perform database environment capacity planning and availability management.

  • Collaborate with partners to resolve company database policy compliance and vulnerability violations.

  • Provide 12x7 on-call support for complex production problems to include experience with escalation and communication of the problem to management.

  • Consult with and advise management on high impact database solutions and database management topics.

  • Leads the planning, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization's server-class databases running on Exadata and Exalogic H/W.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of database design and administration experience

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology

  • Knowledge and understanding of technical documentation

  • Ability to develop and manage business relationships

  • 5+ years of change management experience

  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment

  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
