Merchants Bonding Company is seeking candidates for a Marketing Internship for the summer of 2021. This intern will work full time (37.5 hours/week) and be responsible for applying journalistic creativity and brainstorming ideas for various marketing projects, articles, and social media postings.
Merchants Bonding Company Summer 2021 internships will include opportunities for community service projects, cross-departmental learning, intern networking, as well as social and educational events. The group will work closely together on projects that impact the business directly as well as gain real-world experiences.
Eligible candidates meet the following criteria:
Currently junior or senior level student working toward their Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related field
GPA of 3.0 or above
Exceptional writing and copy editing skills
Proven ability to utilize storytelling strategies and creativity effectively
Outgoing and friendly personality with ability to engage people
Exceptional verbal communication skills
High level of attention to detail
Exceptional abilities in social media platforms
Ability to lead, coordinate, and manage teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Adobe Creative Cloud experience is a plus
Proven organizational skills and ability to handle multiple duties
This internship will focus on the following key responsibilities:
Accurately write and edit for various mediums including but not limited to employee communications, corporate communications, press releases, social media posts, etc.
Assist with the coordination of company projects and employee engagement activities
Lead social media strategies to gain company exposure and promote various initiatives
Marketing via social media platforms
Brainstorm and contribute creative ideas for photos, videos, and imagery for copy
