Athene IT QA Analyst III, Manual & Automation in West Des Moines, Iowa

Purpose:

The QA Analyst will analyze business requirements for testability and completion using Functional Specification Documents, Business Requirements Documents and Technical Design Documents.

Accountabilities:

  • Reviews and analyzes functional and nonfunctional requirements.

  • Reviews and analyzes technical designs and specifications.

  • Automates test cases using Selenium.

  • Contributes to triage, management and resolution of defects.

  • Designs test cases with traceability back to functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Develops an understanding and knowledge base of business processes and associated applications to be tested.

  • Executes test cases and documents testing results, including pass/fail details and logging of defects.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 4+ years of applicable QA experience.

  • Experience with interpreting functional and non-functional requirements and translating into testing scenarios and cases.

  • Experience with test case writing, test execution, status reporting, defect tracking and test analysis.

  • Good oral and written communications skills in order to interact on a daily basis with System Developers, Business Systems Analysts and others.

  • Intermediate SQL skills.

  • Knowledge of API testing using Postman is a plus.

  • Knowledge of JIRA, Selenium and test management tools.

  • Ability to be flexible with priorities in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks within the project and work with minimal supervision or guidance.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
