The Distribution Marketing Senior Partner role is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of marketing initiatives that support Athene’s retail business development and sales initiatives. This individual possesses a strong understanding of the financial services sales process, channel variations and the firm/producer acquisition & onboarding process. The position will create and execute marketing strategies for new firm onboardings, key conferences, high value advisors/firms, sales activation marketing programs and other initiatives as assigned.
Become an annuity distribution expert. Partner with sales and account management to maintain an in-depth understanding of Athene’s distribution channels, translating insights into marketing strategy.
Maintain a strong understanding of how Athene’s solutions fit within the financial planning sales process, leveraging data and insights to create relevant, differentiated marketing programs.
Create and execute marketing strategy that supports sales and business development targeted objectives and goals including strategic development and execution of; marketing programs, new firm onboardings, conference support, sales collateral, training materials and presentations, ensuring all business needs are met.
Leverage data and insights to develop strategies based on marketplace acceptance, marketplace need, emerging market directions and understanding of the competitive environment.
Partner across retail marketing team to integrate distribution insights across all marketing initiatives.
Lead cross functional teams as needed to accomplish assigned projects or business objectives. Team composition and duration will vary depending on project business requirements.
Operate within Athene’s project management process, including use of project management software to initiate, track and monitor progress on assigned initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
Five (5+) years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry in marketing, sales, relationship management or related business experience.
Proven understanding of marketing best practices, and how to use data and market insights to shape effective marketing strategy
Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to maintain in-depth understanding of retail distribution channels and how annuity solutions fit in the overall financial planning process.
Excellent communication skills with ability to develop and articulate business cases and presentations.
Strong project management disciplines. Proven ability to deliver results on time and on budget.
Highly effective problem resolution, analytical and organizational skills. Ability to identify, assess and create strategic solutions.
Ability to collaborate with and influence at multiple levels within an organization
Ability to travel occasionally – up to 5% of time.
