The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. The vision for the Consumer Lending business is to leverage technology and data to make it simple for customers to easily access credit when and where they need it. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices, as well as online and digital channels.

The Consumer Credit team is responsible for leading, developing and implementing strategic initiatives and processes to drive the company credit culture, risk appetite, and business performance. Home Lending Acquisitions Risk Management has an opportunity for a credit bureau data professional to lead oversight of organizational compliance with credit related risk management guidance. This position will drive partnerships with operations teams, senior leadership and industry experts to manage and monitor credit bureau data, credit attributes, and controls.

Successful candidates will possess significant credit and credit data evaluation experience, strong analytic capacity, excellent project management skills and a collaborative approach to issue resolution. This position applies subject matter knowledge to serve as a consultant and resource to corporate and/or LOB management regarding credit performance, potential or emerging risks, and business conformity with risk appetite, credit culture, and policies. The position analyzes reports; presents findings to management and provides input into decision-making.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in risk role

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 5+ years technical experience in working with credit bureau data and developing strategies that standardizes credit data usage and credit attributes across the organization.

  • 5+ years experience in working with multiple credit vendors and credit bureuas (Equifax, Experian, Trans Union) working with MISMO credit data format, and with MISMO Credit Group.

  • 5+ years Risk Management experience

  • Experience with mortgage lending credit policy, government and GSE lending guidelines.

  • Demonstrated skills in analysis and interpretation of complex credit data, and credit bureau data fields.

  • Experience with residential real estate underwriting, credit bureau data for consumer lending products.

  • Ability to articulate complex credit data issues orally and in writing.

  • Strong collaboration skills - Demonstrated ability to successfully manage strategic issues with business partners across industry

  • Previous experience building business partnerships across large multi-functional organizations

  • Experience with simultaneous management of multiple complex medium to long range deliverables
