Title: Product Engineer - 47156

Your Responsibilities

As a Product Engineer at the John Deere Product Engineering Center (PEC), located in Waterloo, Iowa, you will provide Design, Analysis or Test engineering support for various mechanical components and systems related to Agricultural tractors. These areas could include structures, hydraulic, powertrain and/or cooling systems of various tractor equipment. In addition, you will:

  • Work closely with the appropriate customers, suppliers and John Deere cross-functional teams while driving toward solutions to new product development, continuous improvement, quality improvement, cost reduction and/or other special projects

What Skills You Need

  • 3 or more years of experience in Mechanical systems design, analysis or test

  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects and tasks

  • Demonstrated effective communication (written and verbal) skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in self-directed manner

What Makes You Stand Out

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team

  • Relevant mechanical design and test experience of mechanical systems on off-highway equipment

  • Fundamental understanding of machines forms relevant to off-road equipment.

  • Experience in 3D modeling (ie Creo, SolidWorks)

  • Experience operating off-road equipment

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Engineering Mechanics or Aerospace Engineering
