Function: Manufacturing Engineering
Title: Part Time Student - Manufacturing Engineering - Waterloo, IA - 46962
Provide OFP and limited PDP support to the 7R-8R Final Assembly Team as an ME Part Time Student.
This includes daily production support (line calls, issue resolution), continuous improvement engagement with the natural work groups through CI200 (take action on assigned CI tags for closure), write work orders, SRM's, PO's, and other administrative tasks.
Perform process audits of various types (work instructions, quality, safety, EHS, etc).
What It Takes
Demonstrated problem resolution and analysis skills.
Ability to work with ambiguity.
Ability to use Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and proficient in computer skills.
Pursuing a four-year degree in Manufacturing or industrial engineering, manufacturing or industrial technology or Management Information Systems. Would consider other engineering or technology related fields such as in science, mathematics, or technical studies preferred.
Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university
Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
Graduation date of December 2019 or later
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year
35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester
A strong candidate will also have
Experience working in a production environment.
Experience with continuous improvement processes.
Experience with tractors or other commercial vehicles.
