Manufacturing EngineerWaterloo, IA$80-95KOur manufacturing client is looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer to their Waterloo, IA facility. This Manufacturing Engineer must have experience in CNC and machining and will analyze product requirements to develop manufacturing processes including materials, fixturing, tooling, testing/inspection, workflow and labor and material costs. Will provide technical support, troubleshoot and resolve production process issues related to machining, fabrication and assembly of parts. Analyze machine programs, processes, workflow for continuous improvement.Must Have Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering strongly preferred, will consider other Engineering degrees.Minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing engineering or industrial engineering.i Prior experience working with CNC machining operations, CNC programming and process improvement. Prior experience in Metallurgy and Metal characteristics a plus.Experience working out on the plant floor with projects.Key Responsibilities:Serve as a technical expert for machined parts, processes and equipment for all CNC work centers.Support process improvement initiatives for new products as well as existing products in all manufacturing areas. This may include implementation of robotic applications in machining, fabrication and assembly areas.Analyze activities for machining, programming, procedures, tooling and equipment. Evaluate processes and recommend improvements to maximize efficiency, productivity and reduce overall cost while meeting company quality standards, customer specifications and operator safety.Actively troubleshoot and resolve machining and programming complications by collaborating with operators for minimal machine down time.Assist in new product development relating to the design and selection of machining processes, metal, tooling and fixture.Research and prepare cost estimates for current activities and new production processes.Make recommendations for new machinery and tooling.
