The regional human resource manager is responsible for the overall administration and coordination of the human resource function including policies, procedures and programs related to employment, recruiting, compensation, benefits, performance management, and employee relations.


  • Ensure a safe work environment through strict adherence to safety policies and procedures. Know and communicate safety message with focus on developing zero injury

  • Identify and drive the communication and sharing of best practices across functions to facilitate continuous improvement

  • Act in a consultative leadership and strategic partnership role with AMP Sales and Operations and the HR Centers of Excellence to ensure HR services are aligned with the needs of the business. Identify new opportunities where HR can add value to the business.

  • Investigate employee relations Analyze information from various sources and examine potential risks, draw conclusions/solutions, and ensure actions are legally compliant and in accordance with company values.

  • Compile, prepare, and distribute Employee Handbook including attendance, drug and alcohol, rules and regulations, and accident reporting,

  • Review disciplinary issues with management to identify best progressive discipline options, up to and including termination. As needed, recommend alternative paths to managers in the event disciplinary action proposed is not appropriate and/or supported by proper documentation.

  • Facilitate job requisition and pre-employment process, conduct interviews, make hiring and salary recommendations, and manage new employee hiring

  • Administer the local Workers' Compensation program and management of relationship with company panel health care providers, if a

  • Manage specific projects and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives. Participate in HR project teams and programs and coordinate community involvement.

  • Implement and coordinate people strategies and processes (i.e. performance development, compensation planning, succession planning, talent management, retention) that help deliver results.

  • Maintain professional relationships with employees and community, and various organizations to assure company

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or related field

  • HR certification (PHR, CP, AIRS, etc.) certification highly preferred

  • Five (5) to eight (8) years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions


  • Knowledge and experience with mergers and acquisitions is preferred.

  • Evidence of the ability to practice human resources with confidentiality, objectivity, and integrity.

  • Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee

  • Very strong written and spoken communication

  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the executive management team that provides overall company leadership and

  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows Must include knowledge of Excel and skills in PeopleSoft. Familiarity with ADP talent, succession and recruiting management modules are a plus.

  • General knowledge of pertinent and relevant employment laws and practices and experience working with a corporate employment law

  • Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources recognition and engagement programs and processes.

  • Excellent organizational management
