The Role

The Content Specialist combines conceptual and writing talent and technological proficiency to develop communication and content. The Content Specialist creates content for Brokers International, Broker’s supporting brands, as well as organizations in our down line in their respective brand voices. The Content Specialist is responsible for digital content best practices including digital ad copywriting, social media, e-mail writing, and brand voice and expression.

Essential Job Functions

  • Produce content and copy for all marketing and advertising materials.

  • Responsible for idea generation and creative concepting to drive campaign and creative development.

  • Provide strategic support and discussion to ensure all projects are targeted and effective.

  • Review and provide editorial quality control for all work produced by the creative services department.

  • Work within our departmental project management software to confirm brief input, manage project schedule, document scope changes, initiate reviews, and close and archive projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must display Core Values

  • Knowledgeable in response and conversion marketing best-practices and philosophies

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft word and PowerPoint

  • Exceptional understanding of grammar rules and ability to provide thorough, editorial, quality control

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong conceptual skills with an ability to deliver big ideas that drive results

  • Strong understanding of content creation principles, response marketing, and brand voice and expression

Experience and Education

  • Three plus years of experience generating content across a variety of mediums, or a combination of both education and experience.

  • Financial services experience is preferred.

  • Writing samples preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Writing, Advertising preferred.
