JOB INFORMATION SummaryWe are seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist (RRT / CRT / RN) to join the Rotech team. This position is responsible for providing clinical patient services and support within the location. Storm Lake, Charles City and Oelwein areasEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAvailable for on-call assignments as neededMaintains documentation of all services provided and all work performed per Rotech's policies and proceduresProvides in-home and location visits with patientsProvides Sleep Central Clinics (where applicable) for patientsSupports orientation and training of other personnel at the direction of the Location ManagerPerforms other duties and responsibilities as required by state licensure law or by the Location ManagerPatient assessment may include but is not limited to:a) Verbal or physical assessmentc) Diagnostics (e.g., oximetry, sleep screenings, etc.)d) Determines whether Standing Order exists for each patient; and if not, works with sales to obtaine) Visits are scheduled on time; visits are not overdue; visits patient per proceduref) Evaluates patient and completes all applicable sections of the patient CVRProvides patient education as applicable. Education may include but is not limited to:a) Respiratory equipment use, maintenance and safetye) Potential consequences of noncompliancef) Potential adverse reactions/side effects from therapySets up all and monitors ongoing function of highly technical respiratory equipment; a) Invasive ventilator, b) Noninvasive ventilator and/or c) Infant monitors QUALIFICATIONS Employment is contingent onBackground investigation (company-wide)Drug screen (when applicable for the position)Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)Education and/or ExperienceDegree in respiratory therapy or related science is preferredCompletion of an accredited program/degree in respiratory care preferredMust be licensed in primary state of home office and may be required to obtain license in neighboring statesCredentials as a respiratory therapist , Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT); RRT/CRT is preferred but other medical credentials may be acceptable (e.g., RN) depending upon state licensure lawsHome respiratory care experience is preferredMaintain CEUs as required by state law, and if not required by state law, then maintain a minimum of 4 CEUs per yearNursing or other paramedical training may be acceptable depending upon state licensure lawsSkills, Knowledge and AbilitiesDeductive problem solving skillsEffectively communicate in English; both oral and written, with physicians, location employees and patients to ensure questions and concerns are processed in a timely mannerHelpful, knowledgeable and polite while maintaining a positive attitudeInterpret a variety of instructions in a varie
