Aventure Staffing Construction Manager/Estimator in Sioux City Area, Iowa
Looking for an experienced Construction Manager/Estimator for our busy GC/Design Build client. Most projects are within drive instance with occasional project requiring overnight travel.
Estimator Requirements:
7+ years of construction bidding/estimating/project management experience on larger projects
BS Degree in Construction Management preferred
Proficiency with Timberline Software for estimating, invoicing and project management
CPE is a plus
Understanding of how bidding works & cost of bidding and estimating a job should be reflected in price
Able to read blueprints and other construction documentation
Detail-oriented, organized, ability to multi-task and strong follow-through
Good communication & negotiating skills
Reliable, responsible and dependable
Valid Driver's License & Good Driving Record/Insurable on company policy
Construction Manager/Estimator Duties Will Include:
Collect historical cost data, consult with clients, vendors and co-workers to prepare estimates for various construction projects including new, renovations and civil projects
Analyze blueprints, specs, proposals and other construction documents to prepare time, cost, materials & labor estimates for bidding projects
Schedule and coordinate all design & construction processes including selection, hiring & oversight of specialty trade contractors
Plan, direct, coordinate, manage and oversee a wide variety of construction projects including building all types of roads, schools, hospitals, residential, commercial & industrial structures
Obtain all necessary permits & licenses direct or monitor compliance with building & safety codes and other regulations
Ensure construction projects are completed on time and to client's satisfaction
