SUMMARYThis position is responsible for safely assembling equipment by following detailed instructions from supervisors and trainers. These assemblies vary in size and require the use of a variety of mechanical, electrical, and manual tools.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProduce components by assembling parts and subassembliesAssemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics onto trucks utilizing power equipment and wrenching techniquesDrill holes for wires, hoses and small partsOperate a torch, plasma cutter, or grinder to cut and shape partsPosition parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurementsComplete small weldmentsInstall various truck accessories (decals, mud flaps, cameras, lights)Lift and stack completed subassemblies and parts up to 65 lbsTrain and work in various areas of assembly in response to production demandsFollow verbal and written work instructionsAttention to detail necessary to adhere to quality standardsMaintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsRegular attendance requiredAll other duties and responsibilities that are assignedBASIC QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or GED6+ months of experience in a manufacturing or general labor industryPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS1+ year(s) of experience in an assembly or mechanical occupationOshkosh Corporation is an Equal Opportunity employer of Minorities, Females, Protected Veterans, and Individuals with Disabilities, and is committed to providing equal opportunities for all employees and applicants.
