1 - First Shift

The Logistics Systems Manager is responsible for developing the roadmap for all Lifecycle fulfillment systems to accommodate the organizations growth strategies in our global aftermarket parts. Assists in the selection, implementation and optimization of Lifecycle fulfillment systems to prepare Vermeer for future growth. These include WMS (Warehouse Management), OMS (Order Management and IMS (Inventory Management) systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Lead through the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused, and stewardship and model the associated behaviors. Manage assigned team members in performance of their duties. Establish and monitor individual and team goals which are aligned with the organization’s business strategies and objectives and ensure department is properly serving its internal and external customers and meeting defined expectations.

  2. Responsible for developing and maintaining the roadmap for all global Lifecycle Logistical systems to accommodate the organizations growth strategies, while meeting customer experience expectations and overall corporate brand promise regarding service parts. The lifecycle logistical systems include, but are not limited to, WMS (Warehouse Management), OMS (Order Management) and IMS (Inventory Management) systems.

  3. Guide how customer facing e-Commerce platforms and dealer facing order systems integrate into and work within our Lifecycle Systems business model.

  4. Work with the Lifecycle business unit and IT in the scoping of requirements, selection and implementation of the lifecycle logistical business systems, ensuring that each of these are in alignment with the Lifecycle Logistical system roadmap.

  5. Work with the business unit to continuously improve the process flows to maximize the systems capabilities.

  6. Lead the Vermeer Lifecycle Product Group to scale systems, processes, and resources through enterprise growth, acquisitions and alliances.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, data analytics, computer science, business, finance or other related field.

  • Minimum 10 years experience in supply chain/logistics, procurement or inventory management.

  • Expert knowledge/experience in successful implementation and application of large scale WMS/OMS and or IMS systems in a parts distribution environment, with a minimum of 5 years working experience.

  • Experience in the mobile equipment industry.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Expertise in leading projects, mentoring and leading teams with a demonstrated high degree of accuracy and sound decision making. Ability to lead projects through an ambiguous, conceptual state to an organized deliverable.

  • Experienced in continuous improvement methods and application

  • Ability to lead and facilitate multiple activities and resources.

  • Ability to integrate multiple business performance indicators directly linking to the Company profitability.

  • Ability to function productively with all internal and external personnel to manage, design, build, service and operate machines.

  • Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and co-workers and maintain positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness.

  • Demonstration of good oral and written communication skills.


Up to 5% domestic and/or international travel by car or plane may be required.
