Function: Operations

Title: Material Coordinator - 42761

Your Responsibilities

As a Material Coordinator at John Deere Paton located in Paton, IA, you will coordinate and schedule material from receipt to point of use. In addition, you will:

  • Utilize production planning and material replenishment processes

  • Work closely with planner and internal counterparts to ensure material is available at point of use

  • Utilize Lantek software to schedule factory laser cutting operation

  • Monitor and resolve open material delivery issues within SAP

  • Identify part shortages in assigned departments and initiate action to resolve

  • Work with several functional areas including engineering, supply management, production control, inventory verification, and material replenishment on shortages, inventory accuracy, and engineering changes

  • Execute the ECM (Engineering Change Management) process and uses ECM checklists to verify part set up is completed and ready on due dates

  • Request and participate in inventory accuracy issues, including root cause material shortages and adjustments

  • Clear and root cause COGI issues for manufactured and purchased components

  • Track and resolve open transfer requests and late deliveries from suppliers or internal departments

  • Participate in Material Flow strategy review and project implementation

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Management, Engineering/Technology, Supply Management or Accounting/Finance discipline
