Trinity Health Surgical Technician in NEWTON, Iowa

Description:

Assists surgical team before, during, and after surgery by performing duties required for patient care in the operating room.

EDUCATION: Completion of accredited Surgical Technician training program.

EXPERIENCE: Prefer one year of more of hospital operating room experience.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be knowledgeable of aseptic principles and care of the intra-operative patient. Maintains BCLS certification at health care provider level.

Must be able to read, write and follow written and oral instruction in English. Ability to read and interpret documentation such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees.

LICENSURE: National certification or working toward certification.
