Functional Overview:

The Senior Engineer will be responsible for leading all facets of Engineering while providing technical direction in problem-solving and developing a strong understanding of manufacturing operations. The Senior Engineer will be part of the site leadership team with responsibility for delivering on the plant’s safety, quality, cost, and delivery metrics in addition to the plant’s strategic growth and improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering work in operations, production, construction, environmental, safety, quality, or maintenance environments.

  • Design and scale-up manufacturing processes, instruments, and equipment and tests manufactured products to maintain a quality plan, design, and estimate of time and cost while overseeing structures, facilities, systems, and components.

  • Analyze and develop solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems, or the causes of component failures.

  • Identify/define/solve the impactful direction of the business and lead multi-disciplinary initiatives.

  • Lead new product manufacturing processes and certification requirements such as developing PFMEA, Control Plans, and other quality assurance related activities.

  • Develop and lead a plant’s strategy to adopt and implement World Class Manufacturing methodology

  • Assist as necessary in day to day leadership activities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred

  • Engineering degree in manufacturing/industrial or process engineering

  • Master’s Degree

  • World Class Manufacturing Experience

  • Strong communication skills to include the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

  • Previous business management experience

  • Experience in designing assembly work cells.
