Position Purpose:

Provide clerical support for 1400 PAP patients. Perform clerical functions to support the PAP service line. Complete paperwork required for new setups, and annual re-supply renewal orders. Provide service to walk in customers, and process resupply orders received through the automated calling service. Create sales orders in the computer system, assuring that all required notes and paperwork are present. Contact physician offices as needed to obtain required paperwork and signatures. Prepare PAP machines for patient set up. Other duties as assigned.

Job Description Details:

Instruct customers and answer questions regarding proper use of Home Respiratory Equipment. Refer customer to Respiratory Therapist as needed for fitting or adjustment of equipment. Complete documentation and/or obtain customer signature for billing as required. Follow up with customers as required for accurate billing and record keeping for PAP equipment. Maintain stock levels of PAP supplies and PAP machines, ordering as necessary. Process orders for re-supply that come through the automated reminder system, creating sales orders and making sure orders are current. Package product for shipping if needed. Send annual PAP supply renewal orders to clinicians for signature, following up with patients who have changed providers, changed insurance, or who have not been back to see with provider in the past 12 months. Follow up with patients regarding PAP compliance in the required 30 day and 90 day time frames. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Graduate or equivalent. Valid Driver’s License with no prior history of DWI/DUI convictions, or motor vehicle accidents within the past three years that were determined to be the fault of the driver. Previous customer service experience required. Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred, or experience working with medical equipment preferred. Experience working with computerized spreadsheets and standard office software preferred. Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills in a Windows environment. Must be able to communicate and relate to clients who are ill, elderly, anxious, or confused. Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment. Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission and vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
