As a Controls Test Engineer You Will

This position focuses on supporting the testing and evaluation of new and enhanced process control technologies for process control systems.

As a Controls Test Engineer, you will:

• Work with a team of domain experts to research and develop a new generation of hardware and software to establish final control element performance.

• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to understand their valve and process control needs.

• Provide technical feedback and direction to the design and evaluation of new product concepts, including conceptualization, design review, and testing of complex products

• Conduct controls analysis for electro-pneumatic systems.

• Design, set up, and complete hardware, software, and electronics testing to validate performance and application.

• Use software such as LabVIEW, FlexLogger, DIAdem, and MATLAB to gather and evaluate experimental data

• Work with Simulations, Marketing, Design, Manufacturing, Sales, and Procurement groups as part of a multi-functional team

For This Role You Will Need:

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering, or related fields. Preference will be given to those with prior controls and/or NPD experience.

• Understanding and/or functional expertise in most of the following areas:

• Advanced control algorithms, e.g., for loop stability, robustness, and performance analysis

• Basics of controls and modeling for mechanical and electronic elements

• LabVIEW and/or MATLAB/Simulink

• Analog and digital signal processing

• Pneumatic Systems

• Proven mechanical proficiency

• A successful candidate will have a passion for science and technology coupled with an ability to work in a team environment. A desire for innovation is a must
