Aventure Staffing Mold Maintenance / Machinist Technician in Le Mars, Iowa
$18-$21/hr + Shift Differential | Competitive Benefits | Excellent Opportunity
A local manufacturing company is searching for a skilled Mold Maintenance / Machinist Technician to join their team! Current openings on 2 nd and 3 rd Shift!
2 nd Shift = Monday – Friday 3:45pm – 12:15am. + .75/hr Shift Differential
3 rd Shift = Monday – Saturday 11:45pm-8:15am. + 1.25/hr Shift Differential
Mold Maintenance / Machinist Technician Responsibilities:
Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, drill press, or grinders
Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations
Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers
Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
Perform preventative maintenance on injection mold tooling, repair and clean injection molds
Design knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
Operation Monitoring: watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
Operation and Control: Controlling operations of equipment or systems
Set up molds per specific requirements and set up sheet instructions, including robot end-of-arm fixtures
Keep the working environment area clean and safe
Being available for overtime and weekend work if needed
Assist in injection mold removal from press
Comply with safety rules and company policies
What you’ll get as a Mold Maintenance / Machinist Technician:
Starting Pay: $18-$21/hr + Shift Differential

To become a Mold Maintenance / Machinist Technician you’ll need:
College degree or equivalent and/or prior operator experience in machining, plastic processing or millwright
Ability to read technical drawings and diagrams
Ability to apply formulas and mathematical concepts and to use them in a mechanical perspective or production quality stand-point
Ability to define and react to problems, color variations, small imperfections, collects data, establish facts and draw a valid conclusion and decision during a fairly fast pace production level and adjust the machine or auxiliary equipment accordingly in order to meet customer specifications or Company quality standards
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and push or pull up to 60 lbs
Knowledge in one or more of the following fields: Electronics, Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Mechanical
