HORMEL FOODS SALES, LLC QC Auditor 2nd Shift-Knox in KNOXVILLE, Iowa
The Knoxville plant has an opening for a Quality Control Auditor I. Successful candidates will work in our food processing production facility located in Knoxville, Iowa, and enjoy competitive wages along with a comprehensive benefits package. This is a 3rdshift position. Weekend work is required. The Knoxville plant specializes in the production of Dry Sausage items including PILLOW PACK pepperoni.Incumbents will perform quality checks on the production line and enter information into our quality control computer software system. For example, verify correct code date and ingredients on labels and boxes, perform weight control, water activity, and package integrity checks. Complete detailed paperwork, monitor and report issues if processes are out of specification. This work is performed in a cold damp environment with temperatures averaging 40 degrees. This work requires lifting up to 70 pounds and standing 8 plus hours per day. Daily and weekly overtime is often required.Job Responsibilities: * Provide quality auditing and monitors compliance with Company and government required sanitation standards.* Follow all company rules for food safety and employee safety.* The ability to read and write to complete job related paperwork.* The ability to use a computer to complete job related tasks.* The ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motion throughout a shift.* The ability to lift/push/pull 50+lbs as required throughout the course of a shift.* The ability to twist and bend the body as necessary to perform job related tasks.* The ability to perform grasping and pinching motions to complete job related tasks.* The ability to kneel/squat/climb as necessary to complete job related tasks.Working Conditions:* Refrigerated environment - temperatures average 40 degrees Fahrenheit.Company Information: Thank you for your interest in becoming part of the Knoxville team!
