Title: Software Engineer - 63545

Your Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer for John Deere Financial you will be responsible for collaborating with application development teams driving availability of Mission Critical and Business Essential applications used by our Dealer, customers and employee through implementation and support of Lean Service Management tools and techniques. In addition, you will;

  • Work between application teams and infrastructure teams to understand all the components that make up the JDF IT applications and solutions supported by the team

  • Review application and system performance data collected from system logs, application monitoring and other sources to provide trending and forecasting

  • Enable application teams, from a development perspective, working w/them to implement/embed code within an application to be able to support effectively

  • Analyze code responding to Incident/Problem/Change management to drive improved monitoring and application resiliency

  • Work with application teams to establish SLA and OLA for their applications/departments

  • Review infrastructure needs to meet future demand

  • Manage some of the nonfunctional requirements of the applications

  • Serve as the application availability and common components subject matter expert

Proven Technical Skills and Experiences

  • Proven experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions leveraging change management

  • Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints

  • Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment

  • Proven deep experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

  • Deep experience with software test automation (TDD and Unit Testing Frameworks: Junit, Mockito, Cucumber, Cypress)

  • Working understanding of design patterns

  • ITIL Exposure

  • Exposure, Tableau, R, Python

Interpersonal, Leadership and Teaming Competencies

  • Capable of collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solutions

  • Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution

  • Proven experience working in a team environment

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
