Aerotek Settlement Auditor in Johnston, Iowa
Acts as the primary interface to Dealers/Distributors regarding billing and payment issues on the accounts. Audits Dealer settlements and reports discrepancies to appropriate individuals. Duties: Audits dealer/distributor settlements based on published guidelines and policies. Verifies appropriate supporting documentation for credits, including floor plans, retail notes or leases, incentive bonuses, and rentals. Follows-up on discrepancies identified in the settlement or inventory verification processes and/or various audit reports. Responds to dealer/distributor requests for information and support related to systems, dealer statements, wholesale finance terms, and incentive programs. Identifies and communicates potential credit concerns to the credit group.
When a customer decides to lease or purchase the equipment, the dealership will draw up finance terms and will then send them to corporate for approval. The customers will also typically qualify for a promotional/cash back offer w/ equipment purchase, based on purchase level. These auditors will comb through/verify and audit finance terms for accuracy to ensure that all information is included and that the agreements meet corporate guidelines, if there are any errors or if they need more information, they may reach out to the dealerships for more information. They also will verify that the customer purchases are eligible for the cash back offers - auditing how/when/where and who purchased the equipment. Research as necessary for escalations, etc.
