Project Accountant - Part Time - Temporary Role
Admin & Support (Operations, Accounting, HR, PR)
We have an immediate opportunity for a part-time Project Accountant. This role will be temporary and provide support for our Payroll, Accounting and Purchasing functions. Experience with Kronos and Microsoft Dynamics/GP will be helpful.
What You'll Do
Assist departmental staff with budget software, preparation of Kronos job aides, development of new payroll reports, and analysis of administrative costs allocations.
Reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable, and pre-paids to the general ledger. Reconcile cash and investment accounts. Reconcile fixed assets and related depreciation accounts.
Forecast short and long term cash flow. Reconcile and rectify discrepancies in cash postings.
Assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule.
Perform routine and complex professional level analytical work relating to revenue generating activities.
Participate in the preparation of the ChildServe annual budget by assisting in the preparation of revenue and expense worksheets and working with other management staff to develop projections.
Create process mapping of current procedures to identify and implement improved accounting processes that will make a positive contribution to financial results.
Record, categorize and depreciate assets in accordance with capitalization policy.
Process month end expense reports and reconcile them to the monthly statement.
This role is a temporary position, not benefits eligible
Monday - Friday, general business hours
Part-time hours, 15- 25/week ideal
Opportunity for occasional remote work may be possible
What You'll Need
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent education/experience
May 2021 graduates with relevant internship/professional experience will be considered
Experience with Kronos and Microsoft Dynamics/GP preferred
Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing and speaking the English language
