Inpatient Administrative Coordinator - Weekend - Full Time - Johnston

We have an opening for a weekend Inpatient Administrative Coordinator. The coordinator provides clerical support for inpatient departments and will deliver and obtain specimens, supplies, and information within and outside of the facility. The individual in this role will contribute to a holistic approach of the provision of services, resident care, and satisfaction of ChildServe partners. Schedule

  • Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 6am - 6pm

  • Occasional holidays

    What You'll Do

  • Assist with maintaining readiness of resident care equipment.

  • Effectively and accurately maintain resident health records.

  • Order and maintain unit supplies.

Safely transport items to local hospitals adhering to all Iowa traffic regulations and ChildServe policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate patient flow of admissions and discharges.

  • Answer phones and relay messages as appropriate.

  • All other duties as assigned.

    What You'll Need

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Preferred: 6 months of direct customer service or hospitality experience, medical setting preferred.

  • Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant certification

  • Must be willing/able to become an approved driver for ChildServe and have access to a vehicle for transportation of labs

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with word processing and computer skills required.

  • Ability to withstand exposure to the usual childhood diseases and conditions associated with children/young adults with disabilities

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs independently

  • Ability to maneuver within the physical work environment with some bending, stooping, reaching and light lifting

  • Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing and speaking the English language
