Midwest One Bank Retail Managing Officer in Iowa
Oversees the daily operations of bank branch locations.
Oversees the management of an outlying branch facility to ensure that effective staffing, security, operations, customer service, and business development efforts are in place.
In coordination with Vice President, Retail Sales, manages mix of sales, service, and operational responsibilities of office staff.
In coordination with Second Vice President, Operations, identifies appropriate operational functions associated with sales staff clients and how those should be handled (fraud, forgeries, etc.); sees that operational issues are resolved so sales and service activities are not adversely affected
Ensures highest level of customer service is provided at all offices
Organizes and facilitates meetings and communications
Handles delicate customer service issues when needing higher level approval.
Solicits and develops new business through proactive efforts and walk-in activities: retail and small commercial.
Directs and executes sales management activities for self and for the branch team: sales meetings, profiling of customers and prospects, business development calls, referrals, tracking, submittal of reports, etc.
Refers business to other departments outside of own expertise: home loan center, investor center, trust, commercial banking.
Interviews applicants and closes all types of consumer loans, determining the creditworthiness of the applicant and the merits of the specific loan request.
Establishes and negotiates where necessary, the terms under which specific credits will be extended or renewed.
Works problem or delinquent loans through the collection process, monitoring repayment activities and taking necessary action to collect from past due accounts.
Is responsible for the branch facility's budget: planning and managing to approved expenses and cost controls, and meeting revenue projections.
Is responsible for overall communications and accountabilities of branch operations, security, service and sales goals and objectives.
Other duties may be assigned
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
