Job Statement

The Software Developer will be responsible for development, integration and implementation of software solutions that meet complex business requirements and support the company business strategies and objectives.

Job Duties

A successful candidate will perform the following activities:

  • Code, test, debug, document, and install new and modified internal applications.

  • Design application solutions that fully implement business requirements and work within specifications to meet goals in a timely manner.

  • Support multiple projects in parallel across multiple customers.

  • Monitor production programs for expected performance and respond to errors, emergencies, and requests from the program owner.

  • Take independent action to correct problems encountered with authority level.

  • Verify implemented interfaces continually meet customer?s use cases.

  • Work with project manager, project owner, and other developers to ensure programs meet their intended purpose.

  • Work with the programming team to assist in completion of other projects as needed.

  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of system and program documentation.

  • Research and Development for future software projects.

  • Learn and adopt new technologies and techniques as directed by management

    Job Requirements ? Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    A successful candidate must have proficient knowledge/capabilities in the following areas:

  • Associate degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent

  • 2+ years Industry experience in software development or evidence of hands on experience preferred

  • Experience with object oriented programming languages an relational database fundamentals

  • Experience with C#, ASP.NET, SQL - Like Languages, JavaScript and a working knowledge of other web languages (HTML, CSS, jQuery, etc.). Experience with MVC architecture a plus.

  • Familiarity with design methods, techniques and standards

  • Willingness to learn new techniques, languages, or design structures

  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment

  • Self-motivated and resourceful with the ability to multi task and meet deadlines under time pressures

  • Ability to troubleshoot using strong problem solving skills and to use documentation to learn new systems and procedures
