The Candido group at the University of Iowa is seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position working on the interface between condensed matter systems and quantum information science. The group is actively involved in spintronics, magnonics, topological materials, and quantum information science, and has opportunities for collaborations with a diverse set of experimental and theoretical groups around the world, including the USA, Europe, and Brazil. The candidate will also have the opportunity to work with graduate and undergraduate students.

Education Requirement:

  • The successful applicant must have a Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field, completed by Jan. 1, 2024.

Required Qualifications:

  • Applicants should have a strong record of interest or experience in at least one of the areas above.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Research experience in condensed matter/solid state physics (spintronics and/or magnonics), and/or in quantum information science, e.g., Lindblad equation, JC Hamiltonians, entanglement, etc).
