The Amendt lab is interested in the Genetics, Development and Biochemistry of craniofacial and tooth development. In particular, we are focused on the roles of transcription factors and microRNA in the developmental processes leading to tooth and facial development. The Amendt lab uses mouse models, cell culture models, Biochemical assays, tissue processing and analysis and bioinformatics to address key developmental questions. The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine/Dows Institute for Dental Research is a highly ranked Biomedical research institute and is located in a state of the art research complex that features a collaborative atmosphere to foster innovation.Education Requirement:PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Physiology, Genetic or related fields.Required Qualifications:Interested candidates should have obtained a PhD degree with a strong background in mouse models, tissue processing and analysis, molecular biology, cell biology and Biochemistry.
