POSTDOCTORAL SCHOLARRequisition # 2933Position BasicsAdvertising Ends on:Extended Until Position is FilledAdvertising Started on:Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018College:Carver College of MedicineDepartment:Internal MedicineSalarySalary:$47,484.00 to CommensuratePosition DetailsFull/Part Time Status:Full TimePercent Time:100%Position Description:A postdoctoral research scholar position is available in the Department of Internal Medicine in the Division of Nephrology, Carver College of Medicine at University of Iowa.Research in the laboratory is focused on studying the function of genes that when mutated result in inheritable kidney diseases, by applying a wide array of biochemistry, genetics, genomics, cell biology and imaging studies.The specific project will be aimed to identify and characterize novel molecular signaling pathways responsible of the onset and the progression of cystic kidney diseases and fibrosis.The post-doctoral scholar will be expected to be responsible for defining the experimental design, collecting and analyzing research data, troubleshooting experiments, and training graduate students and research assistants.
