Appointment will be on the non-tenure clinical track, open rank. This position will provide emergency adult psychiatric assessments and treatment in UIHC's new Crisis Stabilization unit. This unit will provide emergent psychiatric evaluation and treatment from an interdisciplinary team which includes MD/APP, LISW, RN, PNA and a security guard. The position is a 1.0 FTE and consists of 80% clinical time and 20% academic time, with the latter devoted to scholarly pursuits which may include research and teaching.The Department of Psychiatry is committed to transforming the understanding, prevention, detection, and treatment of major mental illness through its extensive clinical, research and educational initiatives.
