Maintenance Technician on 2nd Shift
Dedicated shift 3:30 PM - 1:00 AM
Maintain and repair production equipment
Dedicated maintenance position
Responsible for preventative maintenance, machine repair, project work, and all other duties as assigned
Work individually or with team members maintaining a positive work environment
Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment,and electrical systems
Follow specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings using hand tools, power tools, hoist, and measuring and testing instruments
Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine
Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery, using rags, brushes and grease gun
Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as wiring and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment
Read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos in English
Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
May repair automated machinery and equipment such as programmable controllers
Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment
Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as conveyors and programmable controllers
Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment
Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, using test equipment and replaces damaged or broken wires and cable, using hand tools
Test malfunctioning machinery, using test equipment, and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers
Complete 5S checklist and follow all safety policies and procedures at all times
Participate in daily production team meeting
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Must have ability and desire to complete self-study course work necessary to reach the top of the specialist level
