This is a great entry-level Financial Analyst position that provides the opportunity to offer daily support to the accounting and finance departments as well as perform routine assignments and solve routine/standard problems with limited discretion. This position may be for you if you're comfortable with vagueness and enormous amount of information. If you are a solution-oriented critical thinker with a passion for analysis, this is the Financial Analyst opportunity for you! Offered on a long-term duration, this is a temporary position.

How you will make an impact

• Investigate concluding results at the corporate and division levels

• Direct different aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis, variance analysis)

• Assess and query a vast amounts of data

• Team up with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits

• Assist in annual budgeting process

• Facilitate the monitoring and maintaining of internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements

• Have a hand in the organization of monthly financial reporting and other business data

• Merge and evaluate budgets and income statement forecasts

• Generate ingenious alternatives and ideas to reduce costs and grow financial performance of a company

• Help out with ensuring adequate controls and procedures

• Now and then, be able to describe intricate financial subjects to non-financial staff members in special projects Requirements - Less than one year of experience preferred

• Excellent attention to detail

• Capable of working independently with minimal oversight

• Strong familiarity with operational auditing

• Comprehensive knowledge of information systems auditing

• Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel

• Expertise in financial auditing

• BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

  • Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• Skills in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly desired (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
