Under the direction of the CEO / Corporate Supervisor(s):• Assists in ensuring that all aspects of ABCM properties / care centers are operating under optimal conditions: free of hazards, safe, sanitary, and in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory guidelines (pertaining to maintenance)• Helps plan, organize, develop, implement, and execute the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the maintenance department• Maintains the care/handling and use of supplies, equipment, etc., as well as the appearance of maintenance areas, and performs regular inspections as required• Seeks out, learns, and implements new methods and principles in order to incorporate them into existing maintenance practices• Coordinates maintenance services and activities with other departments and care centers• Assures that outside services are properly completed/supervised in accordance with contracts/work orders• Adheres to OSHA, waste disposal, infection control practices, and safety & fire protection programs by inspecting work areas• Reports equipment and care center damage to CEO / Corporate Supervisor(s) and Care Center Administrator• Performs other work-related duties as assigned/delegated by CEO / Corporate Supervisor(s) / Care Center Administrator(s)
• High school diploma or equivalent• Minimum of three (3) years experience in a maintenance department and knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical, carpentry, and plumbing systems• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations• Must have and maintain an unrestricted license and driving record free of serious violations• Must be self-motivated to accomplish assigned duties/responsibilities with minimal supervision• Must possess outstanding communication and customer service skills in working with the corporate office personnel, care center team members, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, vendors, contractors, architects, engineers, and the general public
