Adjunct CNT Instructor
About the Position
To teach Telecommunications courses in a face-to-face and/or virtual environment. This environment will include effective assessment of student learning with course design that connects students to content, each other, and the world. Virtual classes are taught in a live, synchronous setting. Candidates must have reliable, broadband/high-speed internet access. Traditional and online teaching experience(s) preferred. Experience with these video conferencing services is preferred: Zoom, Big Blue Button, or Microsoft Teams. Candidates must submit a link to a 10-minute recorded virtual teaching demonstration.
Classes may be taught from any Iowa Central Center or remotely, beginning August 25, 2020. Classes may be offered at a variety of scheduled times, most likely mornings and afternoons but possibly evenings and Saturdays.
Associate or two-year degree in computer networking technology or related field, or 3 years of equivalent IT work experience, and a minimum of three years of experience in the field required. Telephone and networking experience required. Bachelor’s degree in computer networking technology or related IT field preferred. Teaching experience preferred.
