JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT
The Project Engineer I/II will oversee engineering and technical projects, including management of personnel, budget, and scheduling to deliver a successful project outcome, including safety and risk mitigation plans. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders across all areas of the project to interpret the needs, expectations, and limitations of each, and bring them together with the aim of successful project deliveries.
Prepare and execute on strategies and project plans for engineering and technical projects, including monitoring progress, resolving issues, budgets, coordinating schedules, status reporting and
all tasks associated with the project and coordinate the operational aspects of assigned projects.
Develop project schedules by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements and sequencing project elements.
Review status of projects and budgets, coordinate schedules, and prepare status reports and recommend appropriate actions.
Lead the project team and the work of contractors.
Collaborate with regional domain leads for domain specific expertise support in build projects.
You will work under general supervision and independently solve moderately complex issues while referring more complex problems to a higher-level staff.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of two years of related work experience
1+ year of production management or engineering experience.
1+ year of project management practices.
Microsoft Office Suite experience.
Engineering and management software knowledge
Knowledge of the environmental health and safety standards and international standards and codes related to engineering and technical projects.
Experience leading third party resources to deliver business results.
3+ years of experience in production, reliability, or project management.
2+ years in project engineering and/or operations supervision.
Demonstrated competencies in several of the key chemical processing unit operations such as evaporation, heat exchange, ion exchange, drying, etc.
Basic competencies in process safety, food safety, good manufacturing processes, basic competencies in piping design and tank design, automation, electrical and instrumentation, management of change, electrical design and fire protection.
Construction project management course, root cause analysis training, reliability centered maintenance course, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-hour construction safety training, and food safety training.
Basic working knowledge of standards, codes, and specifications.
