VIVA USA Inc Material Flow Analyst in Dubuque, Iowa

Description: Establishes the material flow and movement strategy for the raw material, WIP and complete goods. Ensures that there is optimized material movement that results in increased productivity and efficiency, reduction of inventory levels as well as higher inventory accuracy. Duties: Evaluates current logistics flow through the facility for slow moving vs. fast moving materials. Performs root cause analysis; determines corrective action for appropriate material replenishment and flow throughout the factory. Establishes and monitors line side inventory levels and presentation. Plans material replenishment strategies to support variable build levels and inventory accuracy while minimizing material handling costs. Establishes and creates triggers based on raw material or complete goods replenishment cycles and lead times. Determines correct inventory location for raw materials and complete goods inventory. Plans raw material and In Process storage strategies. Serves as expert for Warehouse Management portion of SAP, determining zones for warehouse locations. Establishes SAP system parameters to drive material to its point of use. Serves as transportation resource to unit operations personnel to assure optimal carrier selection for shipment and delivery and to facilitate compliance with appropriate governmental regulations. Reviews and analyzes freight cost to optimize services and cost and manages all freight loss, product damage, overcharge, trailer and container detention and service related claims in order to minimize costs. HR Job Description/Day to Day responsibilities: As a Material Specialist, for the client Construction & Forestry Division (Dubuque Works), you will be responsible for creating and maintaining part replenishment strategies within SAP. In addition, you will: • Analyze replenishment strategies to improve part presentation and efficiencies to the production line while minimizing inventory and material handling costs. • Work with OFP manufacturing engineers for work center and process changes and OFP Supply Management to align supplier replenishment process. • Manage and execute PDP to OFP transitions to ensure repeatable replenishment plans are in place to support future production. • Support Engineering Continuous Improvement (CI) changes so part availability to the production line supports design changes and product improvements in a timely manner. • Support factory changes in continuous improvement process, Kaizen events, and material flow processes to improve replenishment methods. Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline. Open to recent grads Experience Required: • 1 or more years of experience with the Order Fulfillment Process • 1 or more years of experience with SAP MM/IM/WM • Proven experience with data analysis and/or root cause analysis • Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution What Makes You Stand Out Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include: • Proficient in Microsoft Excel • Knowledge of factory processes and operations • Understanding of client Production System, Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time, Kanban, Demand Flow Technology • 1 or more years of experience with EPDP • Experience working in a cross functional team • Detail orientated 1st shift, Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, 40 hours per week, no OT anticipated VIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
