RFA Engineering Embedded Software Test Engineer II in Dubuque, Iowa
RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is seeking a growth-oriented Mid-level to experienced candidate to be part of our engineering team in the Dubuque, Iowa area. You will work with our engineering staff to test highly engineered designs for our clients using state of the art engineering tools.
Embedded Software Test Engineer II
Job responsibilities include:
Embedded Software test and debugging
Embedded Software design and simulation
Evaluate and revise direct application and remote testing plans.
Test software delivery via live testing and remote assessment.
Participate in tactical meetings with project leaders.
Support testing efforts to ensure the timely release of content to support product delivery launches
May travel to the field to provide problem resolution on complex problems and supporting marketing and/or quality department activities.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's of Science degree in Engineering or Engineering/Technology with equivalent software development and testing experience.
Embedded Software programming experience in C, C++, Python
Ability to interpret software requirements, state diagrams, block diagrams, and test plan documentation
Experience with digital signal processing, analysis equipment, and circuit troubleshooting
Experience with real-time operating systems
Ability to interpret hardware schematics for wiring and electronic controllers
Desired Attributes
Experience with HIL, MIL, and SIL testing & Simulation
General system knowledge of sensors, actuators, solenoids, motors
Experience with communication protocols (CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
Exposure MATLAB/Simulink
Strong in binary, hexadecimal math and analytical problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to thrive in a team environment
