Deere & Company is seeking an Automation Perception Engineer in Dubuque, Iowa with the following requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 3 years related experience. Required skills: Design and analyze trajectories for autonomous robot/vehicle and optimize dynamic path planning in 3D environment using MATLAB (3 yrs); Design and analyze path planning and scheduling algorithm for multi-robot system in simulation through JavaScript and OpenGL (3 yrs); Design and programming path following algorithm with RTK-GPS system (3 yrs); Design and programming computer vision algorithm in object detection and prediction using C++ and Python (3 yrs); Design and implement path planning algorithm in multi-robot system using embedded system (3 yrs); Design and build machine-learning based decision making module in embedded system (2 yrs); Complex problem-solving skill on trouble shooting hardware and software in autonomous robot/vehicle (3 yrs); Test autonomous robot/vehicle using Qt Creator (3 yrs); Design and modeling 3D objects using Blender (3 yrs); Socket programming in UDP and TCP protocols using C (3 yrs). Up to 40% remote work allowed. Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite. Up to 25% domestic and international travel required.
