Your key responsibilities

In this role, you’ll work on a dynamic mix of projects helping our clients solve some of their most pressing issues. Working in diverse, inclusive teams to build relationships with our clients, you’ll deliver innovative high-quality work products. As a wavespace Experience Designer, you’ll help design experiences, both bespoke and repeatable, to be used across wavespace for a diverse roster of clients.

  • Work with the Experience Leader/Manager to define strategy and design for customer experience

  • Collaborate with the Experience team to devise strategic solutions based on multiple forms of research and analysis

  • Support clients in the use of collaboration software being used in the client experience

  • Offer ideas on how to approach client challenges including industry trends and user experience

  • Communicate complex technical concepts simply and effectively to all audiences using sketches, storytelling, mood boards/storyboards, wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and/or data visualizations

  • Take a collaborative approach to work, with motivation to develop your skills by taking ownership of new challenges and have a genuine interest in solving complex business problems

  • Help lead workshops with clients to understand needs, articulate vision, and support design strategies and experiences that meet their vision and needs

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Proven proficiency in the strategic design process of projects, including the overall Customer Experience / Digital Strategy and execution. Assist with the development of customer personas, journey maps, and roadmaps as part of the overall future state vision.

  • Knowledge of design thinking techniques and the ability to solve complex business problems with simple, industry-leading experience and design solutions.

  • Ability to provide strategic direction, working with engagement team to manage client expectations in line with the overall digital and customer experience vision.

  • Experience translating business requirements and goals, end user needs and inputs from cross-functional teams into differentiated design solutions.

  • Demonstrated technical capabilities and professional knowledge of digital media.

  • A valid passport and US driver’s license; willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally to meet client needs.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of work experience in Customer or User Experience Strategy / Research, Business Strategy, Product Design, or Design Planning. Past experience in consulting, CX Practice in a Fortune 500 firm, or agency in a media management or digital creative experience in a client facing role.

  • Cross-functional experience working with both internal and 3rd party development teams and project management experience working with both creative agencies, brands or in a consulting capacity. Experience interfacing with clients and Rich Media Vendors.

  • Experience that spans across UX, business, operations, web engineering, and design. That is, you should feel comfortable talking to other business stakeholders, UX and visual designers as well as technologists and developers.

  • An entrepreneurial spirit who is excited by ambiguity, operates autonomously and is able to make informed decisions on the fly, grounded in a CX point of view.

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, InVision, Keynote, OmniGraffle, Sketch or other design technologies.

  • People management experience with both project teams and individual direct reports.
