  • Engineering * TURBO09736 Full-Time CCC - HQ Des Moines, IA, USA ### Description DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Listed in order of relevance: * The Product Director will provide leadership in the identification, management, and commercial success of new turbomachinery application products and service offerings that deliver customer value. * The Product Director will guide internal teams regarding product requirements, functionality, features and decision prioritization with the overall responsibility for product development success, including overall development cost, schedule, and meeting NPV goals through the utilization of CCC’s stage-gate and AGILE development processes. * Translate market and customer needs into Product Requirement Documents (PRD) in accordance with CCC product development methodology and provide ongoing product pricing analysis during product development and early phases of rollout. * Interact with different functions in the organization to provide regular updates and communications as part of the solution design review process. * Support Sales and Engineering efforts with customer presentations as well as product training as part of product commercialization and collaborate with Marketing and Sales on product launch packages and/ or contribute to the creation of campaign launch packages. * Obtain Voice of Customer, analyze market potential, and develop business case for new service and Hardware offerings. * Partner with software and hardware product managers to set requirements for new products within and beyond CCC core product portfolio. * Research, develop and launch new offerings, methodologies, and capabilities. * Develop tools and procedures for diagnostic selling, tailored to specific processes and machine services, including value-based service offering price. * Evangelize and launch new service offerings, including training and guiding marketing for deliverables. * Support the CCC product management and development processes (PD18 and PD19). * Negotiate third party tool license or contracts. * Develop and be accountable to the financial performance metrics for launched service offerings. * Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required. * Follow all company safety policies and procedures. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE * Advanced engineering, mathematics, or science degree: Master of Science, PhD, and/or MBA strongly preferred. * 10+ years of oil and gas, process controls knowledge or experience. * 5+ years of experience in commercial role (sales, marketing, business development, etc.) * 5+ years of advanced applications development and implementation, including turbomachinery controls, advanced process controls, adaptive controls, model predictive controls, numerical methods, statistics, fuzzy logic and/or neural networks and deep learning methods. High EQ combined with technical competence should be a winning skill set. * Curiosity: The successful candidate will have an authentic curiosity into what makes our customers and organization “tick.” An innate desire to understand our complex customer base and develop complex and simple solutions to their business needs. * Knowledge of control products and systems, embedded software application * Exceptional communication and presentation skills for internal and external audiences * Working knowledge of tools necessary to satisfy Marketing functions (primary and secondary research, exceptional communications skills, database, windows, presentation tools, etc.) to develop and lead the application of Customer Driven Marketing and Product Management into the organization. * Working knowledge of product development tollgate process, Waterfall, Agile, Lean start-up methods, and design thinking * High level knowledge of Agile for ability to create themes, epics, and stories * Ability to learn new products in a fast-paced development environment, meet deadlines * Ability to work across multiple departments and levels of expertise * Effective communication skills including public presentations * Ability to translate complex technical problems into business solutions. * Ability to read, speak, and write in English required. WORKING CONDITIONS The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Domestic and international travel will be required.
