Title Tooling Service Line Leader – Gas Plant PGS/Renewables

The Tooling Serice Line Director will manage and direct the entire fleet of global tools for the moderate to large-size service line inlcluding developing, adapting, and executing global strategy, tooling rental rates, fulfillment prioritization decisions,
global inventory, P&E investment and blueprint, tool location, tool innovation and operational metrics. Will partner with the FieldCore Service Line GMs, GE Product Line leadership, Tooling Region Directors and support functions to drive execution excellence
in tooling, to meet and exceed operational targets.
Develop, adapt, and execute global strategic vision for moderate to large-size service line of global tools, with annual cost/liquidation of $100MM+/year
Owns global inventory for respective service line of global tools
Responsible for tooling rental rates and driving rate reductions YoY.
Directly responsible for P&E budget and purchase by service line, potentially exceeding $10MM/year
Executes in-depth analysis of future tooling needs, including out year forecasting and corporate growth scenario planning, to maximize tooling asset usage and minimize P&E spend
Works closely with with product lines and engineering teams on tooling needs for NPI, productivity, TILs and service bulletins, and develops the global strategy for introducing the new tooling
Make prioritization decisions for escalations across regions to effectively meet outage tooling needs
Achieves critical tooling KPI objectives including financial targets, tool utilization, tool liquidation, P&E, tool loss, forecasting, EHS, quality and external metrics such as tool recovery and on time demand.
Provides direction to Tooling Region Directors and Tooling Operations for respective service line
Optimizes the location of global tooling assets based on future forecasts, minimizing shipment out of regions and P&E spend. Drives tool relocation as necessary.
Drives tooling innovation including vendor management for lower cost and higher quality, and kit optimization for high individual tool utilization within a container/kit.

11+ years progressive experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
6+ years managing and/or developing multi-discipline teams, preferably with international reach across multiple service types
5+ years of specialized/industry experience
Master’s degree preferred
English proficiency requiredDesired Characteristics
Deep domain expertise / highly advanced knowledge in respective service line (gas plant, steam plant, renewables, aeroderivative engines, oil & gas) including the product, maintenance and tooling.
Ability to independently develop and execute functional strategies to solve complex operational situations
Effectively interfaces with executive leadership / GMs
Highly effective in a matrix environment; influence and motivate globally dispersed and diverse teams to realize strategic visions
Strong change management, oral and written communication skills
10 - 15 years of leadership level experience in a global/complex environment
