Job Purpose

Manages supply chain functions, which include, but are not limited to, material planning & procurement, outsourcing, vendor selection, production planning, inventory control, and distribution. Partners with integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, distribution, logistics, and outside suppliers. Focuses optimizing business processes thru continuous improvement in the planning and movement of materials through required processes to enable LIPCC. Establishes key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to drive consistent benchmark performance. Promotes alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization.

Essential Functions

  • Leads processes related to procurement of materials, vendor selection, and vendor relationship management. Focuses on strengthening and broadening the supply chain to minimize total landed cost, inventory, and

  • Oversees and executes all aspects of production planning, manufacturing capacity planning, production forecasting, as well as the implementation of standard work and standard operation costing across all manufacturing process and operations.

  • Coordinates with other functional teams to ensure accurate inventory control, effective logistics planning, and on time customer order fulfillment. Analyzes transportation and distribution systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and economical delivery of the organization's products.

  • Focuses on the planning and implementation of continuous improvement projects across all related business and operational functions.

    Requirements

    BS Degree related to Supply Chain Management with 5 to 10 years of Manufacturing, Procurement and Master Scheduling experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Extensive plant floor systems / MRP experience is preferred. Must have strong knowledge of applicable job requirements. Must demonstrate EFCO's core values and leadership skills. Must work effectively under pressure, exercise good judgment, and maintain confidentiality. Ability to prepare presentations and training programs, and present in front of large groups is required. Proficient personal computer skills, including MS Word and Excel software proficiency. Ability to travel occasionally is required.
