Robert Half SOX Analyst in Des Moines, Iowa

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity in the banking industry for a SOX Analyst role based in DES MOINES, Iowa, 50309-2808, United States. As a SOX Analyst, you will be part of our internal audit team, focusing on the operating effectiveness testing of our SOX controls. While banking experience is not a necessity, a deep understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) is key to success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct business process related SOX audits

• Ensure operating effectiveness testing of SOX Controls

• Handle the second phase of our SOX Controls project

• Work within the given deadlines to complete tasks

• Resolve any issues that arise during the SOX Controls testing

• Maintain regular communication with other team members to ensure project continuity

• Contribute to meeting SOX compliance across the organization

• Continuously monitor and update SOX controls as needed

• Deliver clear and comprehensive reports on audit findings

• Collaborate with the internal audit team for efficient workflow. Requirements • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

• Comprehensive understanding of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the banking industry, preferably in a SOX compliance role.

• Demonstrated analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret complex business and IT controls.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification would be an advantage.

• Proven experience with internal control frameworks and risk assessment practices.

• Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
