OCI builds and manages hyper-scale distributed cloud services. OCI Monitoring service gives customers visibility into every dimension of their cloud resources with data, dashboards, alarms and notifications. We will continue to innovate on each of these services to make them feature-rich world-class services and provide meaningful insights into customer's resources and data!

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Manager who will lead an exceptionally talented team of Software Engineers to elevate the Monitoring stack into the best and most reliable in the modern cloud environment by adding features and scale.

You will be responsible for:

1. Ensure high availability and operational posture of your service

2. Set the roadmap by negotiating requirements and deliverables with product management, internal and external customers

3. Develop project development plans

4. Drive the team to deliver on availability and roadmap commitments

Responsibilities

• Own a high scale, massively distributed cloud scale service handling billons of transactions

• Provide leadership, direction and strategy for a team of senior engineers

• Manage and deliver on a large portfolio of key OCI initiatives with a special emphasis on Monitoring services in Developer Platform

• Develop a prioritized roadmap of products, features and engineering asks

• Drive the delivery of roadmap commitments on time with high quality

• Work closely with a variety of stakeholders (other OCI teams, Oracle Corp teams, product management) to ensure cross-organizational dependencies are managed effectively

• Provide regular updates to executive management

• Monitor the health of the Monitoring services in the OCI fleet and drive solutions to problems before they impact Cloud capacity and availability

US: Hiring Range: from $112,300 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
