The Role

In this role, you will play a critical role as a member of the State and Local Government Program Management Office (SLED PMO). You will be the primary point of contact working with state and internal teams in the West Region with a primary focus in the State of AZ. You will manage contract compliance, handle contract modifications, assist with RFPs, and help sellers navigate contract terms and conditions. Your mission is to protect Lumen’s financial and business interests by enforcing and/or fulfilling the contractual requirements. You are a detailed, organized, tenacious, and analytical self-starter. You are passionate about collaboration and enjoy building long-term relationships in a remote environment. Your history within SLED and/or the telecom/IT industry will establish credibility, giving you a fast track to success in this role.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Working with internal Lumen staff and management, including Sales, Product, Operations, Legal, Offer Management, Billing, Procurement and IT to coordinate Lumen resources to address contractual requirements and optimize the customer experience.

  • Working with Sales and other internal staff to evaluate product and pricing changes

  • Guiding and assisting sales with RFPs

  • Leading contract modification efforts both internally and externally

  • Coordinating contract negotiations

  • Documenting and maintaining job aids, process improvements

  • Hosting monthly contract training.

  • Preparing required monthly reports and other deliverables to ensure all requirements are met.

  • Maintaining accurate records in shared drive, online SharePoint tool and Teams

  • Representing the needs of the business with IT for development projects

  • Other responsibilities driven by contractual requirements

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a contract/project management or leadership role

  • Excellent analytical, contract/project management, and problem-solving skills

  • Advanced Excel knowledge (pivot tables, vLookups, filters, and other formulas)

  • Effective decision-maker

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and major projects simultaneously from discovery to execution

  • Ability to prioritize tasks under demanding timelines

  • Understanding of internal work groups within Lumen to include Sales, Support, Sales Enablement, Pricing, Product Management, Procurement, Legal and Offer Management

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to include:

  • Preparing and giving presentations for sales, executives and senior leadership teams

  • Preparing Project status reports and effectively communicating with internal and external customer project stakeholders
