Acxiom LLC Senior Data Scientist (Remote) in Des Moines, Iowa
The Data Scientist will work independently on a variety of projects to quantify and improve Source data quality and Product data quality. The candidate will need to collaborate with resources across different areas of the business - data sourcing, data ingestion, data architecture, and product builds - to complete objectives. Communication skills, Critical thinking, and problem-solving are key skills that will make the candidate successful. This position reports to the Senior Manager for Data Quality. The Candidate will design and present metrics about data quality to key stakeholders in the Product and Engineering organizations. Areas of focus include - evaluate new sources to quantify source value; identify and use truth datasets to examine source value; monitor existing source data; develop standard reports that describe source quality and product quality; run analyses that identifies overlap between sources; identify the impact to a product when a source is removed/eliminated; ensure source data is fully utilized; consider ways that source data can be utilized to build new data content; and provide recommendations to product and build teams on the integration of new sources.
This role can be located remotely in the U.S.
What you will have:
Advanced Degree in Statistics, Data Quality, Data & Analytics, Business, Math or related field with 3+ years’ experience; or an Undergraduate Degree and 5+ years’ experience.
Experience writing and running SQL and generating reports; SAS experience is ideal.
Experience with data manipulation, reporting, and analytical tools such as SAS, R, Tableau, Altureyx. Experience with Tableau a plus.
Ability to present detailed analysis using verbal descriptions, tables, graphs, and charts
Good communication skills; including flow-charting, project planning, and project documentation
Ability to review reports, summarize the results, and make presentations and/or recommendations to stakeholders.
Experience analyzing first or third-party data in a marketing database.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Experience in building datasets and analyzing data; experience working with unstructured data
Experience working with machine learning algorithms and tools
Quick learner with strong critical thinking skills
