Description

Corteva AgriscienceTM is looking for an SAP Solution Manager Lead to be part of the Digital & Platforms ERP team. The SM Lead will have accountability for the build, deployment, management and continual improvements regarding the use of Solution Manager.

The SM Lead will collaborate closely with business partners, business process experts, solution architects/BASIS, product and project teams, and end users. He/She will lead and champion the use of Solution Manager for mature implementations as well as an in-flight S4 implementation using Focused Build.

The primary focus will be on the Change and Release Management (ChaRM), Solution Documentation, Process Management, and Focused Build functionalities of Solution Manager. Roadmap planning for additional functionalities is desired.

This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the United States. If hired, you may be required to travel as necessary to support business activities.

Support End Users

  • Collaborate with partners and leadership to determine best practices

  • Lead knowledge transfer to end users via KT sessions, documentation, and how-to videos

  • Lead a group of ChaRM specialists supporting end users for mature run and maintain implementations

  • Support project team for in-flight S4 implementation using Focused Build

  • Trouble-shoot and resolve Solution Manager issues; collaborate with SAP ONE Support

  • Trouble-shoot and resolve transport management related issues

  • Collaborate with S4 project team during large, staged deployments to Production

  • Collaborate with leadership to determine roadmap and deploy new functional modules

  • Assist internal audit team providing records and activity reports

Application Ownership

  • Accountable for the design, build, test and deployment of Solution Manager across the SAP landscape

  • Identify Solution Manager related issues, and the design and delivery of resolution and improvement plans to address these issues

  • Accountable for the day-to-day operation and availability of the application; primarily in the ChaRM, Solution Documentation, Process Management, and Focused Build functional modules.

  • Drive Solution Manager system upgrade and system consolidation projects in close collaboration with BASIS team; lead regression testing and validation

  • Provide consulting on SAP change request processes in ChaRM and Focused Build

  • Perform Solution Management and Administration Cockpit activities to configure change cycles

  • Configure Solution Manager for Solution Documentation and Process Management

  • Accountable for the review and approval of all recommended Solution Manager enhancements being suggested from both third parties and internal resources

  • Accountable for the quality assurance of Solution Manager

  • Responsible for the management of resources that will be working on the resolution of issues relating to Solution Manager including the setting of targets, objectives and resolution plans

  • Accountable for the design and delivery of initiatives which will continuously improve Solution Manager effectiveness

  • Hands-on provision of technical expertise and leadership to the Solution Manager developer resources within the organization as well as third-party partners

Skill Required

  • Strong people, communication, and collaboration skills; proactive approach to information gathering

  • Highly adaptable to rapidly changing environment and evolving requirements

  • Strong knowledge of and experience with Solution Manager, especially with ChaRM and the Change and Release Management module within Focused Build

  • Strong knowledge of and experience with the SAP transport process

  • Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills; willingness to document learnings

  • Proactive and self-motivated learner

  • Hands on strong experience of having configured Solution Manager and delivered Solution Manager improvements

  • Very strong stakeholder management experience and skills

  • Proficient in conflict management and negotiation

  • Highly proficient in risk management, conflict management and negotiation

  • Very strong working knowledge of ITIL processes

Qualifications/Position Requirements

  • Ability to work in high-pressure project environment with speed & agility.

  • Strong attention to detail and quality/accuracy of deliverables, preferring outcomes over outputs.

  • Demonstrated effectiveness and ability to work independently, and drive results with peers, stakeholders, and customers.

  • Acts honestly and professionally, ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask under minimal supervision.

  • Decisive ability to recognize when to act and when to escalate.

  • Demonstrable accumulated knowledge of intercompany processes and tax impacts, both domestic & cross-border.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience working with shared services preferred.

  • Experience working with large vendor partners and suppliers, and 3rd party contractors preferred.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology discipline, or related experience; IT, computer science, software engineering preferred

  • 5 years of experience with SAP Solution Manager required. Must include ChaRM experience.
