About the Role :

Fiserv is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator who has the motivation and required leadership skills to take on the role as a team lead for the database group in the Open Solutions DNA Client Services area.

This position offers you a great opportunity to work closely with experts on Fiserv’s flagship product, the DNA™ platform, influence client experience, as well as inspire and lead team members to achieve excellence in everything we do.

We are looking for someone who has the passion for not only the technical aspects of being a Database Administrator, but also has great attention to detail, is organized and highly motivated to create and maintain a Client Services team with focus on excellence and client satisfaction.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • You will lead team of Oracle DBAs, onshore and offshore

  • You will build, improve and manage all processes and procedures as they relate to Oracle Database Client Services

  • You will collaborate with our triage and development organization to identify Oracle related improvements in relation to the DNA Product Suite

  • You will work closely with other Client Services team to ensure a streamlined and excellent client experience

  • Resolve issues as they arise, maintain reported issues via ticketing system and maintain Service Level Agreement Standards

  • Database capacity planning related to database growth and system utilization, trend analysis and predicting future database resource requirements

  • Assist clients with hardware and software recommendations and configuration of Oracle database systems

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in computer science or other related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum 10 years of Oracle DBA experience

  • Expert in Performance Tuning

  • Strong knowledge and experience with analyzing and interpreting AWR, ASH and ADDM reports

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of SQL and PL/SQL

  • Experience with Oracle 11g / 12c and database upgrades

  • Oracle RAC and High Availability experience

  • Proven experience helping clients solve business problems

  • The ability to provide clear and prompt communication flow concerning client issues between client, staff and management

  • Superior interpersonal skills, strong listening, written and oral communication skills with a customer-support focused attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Team Lead

  • Past experience with DNA Oracle databases is a great plus

  • Strong knowledge of Operating Systems such as Linux and Microsoft Windows

  • Ability to multi task, meet tight deadlines and complete all project tasks and milestones as scheduled

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Very strong analytical skills and the ability to make quick and accurate decisions

  • Must have a strong technical aptitude

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • On call for nights, holidays and weekends may be required
