Job Description

The Lead Content Steward is accountable for the overall

Responsibilities of the Lead Content Steward may include but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to the strategic direction of SCM by recommending expansion or curtailment of activities

  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of data content standards and support use of SCM in regulatory documents

  • Influence teams concerning SCM expectations with a comprehensive external understanding

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of document templates, styles, and content

  • Oversee content mapping during document development

  • Oversee the execution of Structured Content tools and interfaces.

  • Manage the creation of structured content models and templates, developing an understanding of content relationships to facilitate identification of content, content behaviors, structure, conditions, variables, information policies, and reuse policies

  • Manage the governance of content models, templates, variables, libraries, metadata, and reuse policies

  • Direct tool development cycles including requirements, functional specifications and user acceptance testing

  • Manage and develop communications to users via multiple communication channels such as question and answer boards, reference web sites, user manuals, training videos, company social media

  • Develop and lead continuous process improvement initiatives

  • Build talent and capabilities of clinical content standards team members through proactive coaching, mentoring and development opportunities

  • Represent the department as an expert for external collaborations and external meetings/conferences/seminars

  • May include management of direct reports including assignment of resources, professional development and performance management.

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s level degree in science, engineering, computer science, analytics or related discipline.

  • Advanced understanding of modelling and content mapping.

  • Experience in technology development, system architecture.

  • Some experience in digital transformation. More than 8 years of experience preferably in medical writing and/or clinical operations within pharmaceutical, biotech, clinical research, or related environment is preferred.

Additional skills and experience:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management; project application of Agile methodology preferred. High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence in all aspects of work

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
